Thom Mullins

Thom MullinsExperience

Thom has over 30 years experience in the design, installation and operation of sound reinforcement, audiovisual presentation systems and associated control systems, as well as architectural acoustics design in large acoustical spaces and critical listening environments such as recording studios and broadcast facility control rooms. His project design experience includes distance learning environments, corporate training and boardroom facilities, video teleconferencing suites, auditoriums, museums and zoos, churches, gymnasiums, and critical listening environments. His project involvement includes technical systems programming and budget development, technical systems master planning, system design and commissioning, project management, and client education.

Prior to becoming a consultant in 1995, Thom worked in low-voltage systems contracting as an estimator, designer, and installer of sound reinforcement, video presentation, control, and intercom systems. Throughout his career, he has mixed front-of-house sound in a variety of performance venues and churches as well as working as a recording engineer, disc jockey, and percussionist. This practical experience has informed his work as a consultant, resulting in systems that respond to how an end user thinks and works.
