Todd Beamer High School Commons
BRC provided design for noise and vibration isolation of mechanical equipment throughout the facility, and developed acoustical treatments for classroom areas, commons, and gymnasium for noise and reverberation control. BRC services also included design and performance specifications for sound reinforcement systems, and recommendations for room shaping, acoustical materials, and mechanical system noise control in the commons/performance space. A variable system of heavy curtains alternating with sound-reflective finishes was developed to provide variable acoustics in the Commons to accommodate the different acoustical requirements for high-activity lunch periods and musical performances.
