BRC prepared a noise study for the proposed expansion of the existing Quality Rock Products Littlerock Sand and Gravel mine in Tumwater, Washington. The noise study presented existing sound levels measured in the vicinity of the site, noise emission characteristics of the main noise sources proposed for the expansion, predicted sound levels and noise mitigation measures for on-site activities, and an analysis of project-related traffic noise off-site. The BRC report was included as the noise component for the project environmental impact statement. BRC also provided expert witness testimony in public hearings, and presented the study findings for the Thurston County Hearing Examiner.
