BRC provided design for architectural acoustics, mechanical noise control, and AV systems,
including the crisis announcement system, for the 70,000 square-foot Kitsap County Administration Building. Acoustical performance was incorporated into the architectural finish materials to complement the visual concept for the facility, while providing reverberant sound control in large volume spaces. Audiovisual systems were provided for the County Commissioner’s Council Chamber and provide speech reinforcement, visual presentation for portable and fixed personal computers and documents, audio and video recordings, and broadcast of Commissioner’s meetings. Noise masking systems were provided to enhance speech privacy in the extensive open office environment of this facility. The building houses 200 employees in county offices including the Kitsap County Commissioner, auditor, assessor, treasurer, and the Department of Community Development.
