| Ryan joined BRC in June 2007 after three years as an acoustical engineer with Newcomb & Boyd in Atlanta. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Wake Forest University and has completed all course work for a Master of Engineering in Acoustics from Penn State (award of the degree is anticipated with approval of submitted professional papers). His graduate research work at Penn State included collaboration with the Boeing Acoustics Research Laboratory on techniques for implementing Near-field Acoustic Holography in aircraft.
Ryan’s primary work with BRC is design for mechanical noise control and vibration isolation. He is also experienced in architectural acoustics and environmental noise control, and works in both of these disciplines as well.
